10 lakh tricolors being made for “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign

In a bid to commemorate 75 years of independence, a campaign called the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign has been called for August 13-15 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. For Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, the women of Sakhi Mandal have been given a manufacturing target of 10 lakh tricolors, for which the women of the group work day and night in the TPC Centers (Apparel Production Training-cum-Production Centers) have been established in different districts of the state.

The women of Sakhi Mandalz again play an important role in this campaign. In the same way that the women of Sakhi Mandal had shown their passion and skill by making masks during the Corona epidemic, in the same way that currently they have again taken on the task of hoisting the flag at the glory of the national flag.

The tricolor manufacturing is an act of responsibility with a lot of respect. Thus, more than 1,000 rural women involved in making the tricolor flag were trained in making the national flag according to the standards of the “Flag Code 2002”.

Savita Devi, who is associated with tricolor manufacturing at Ranchi TPC, said, “Before making the flag, we were given training and told that the ratio of the tricolor should be 3:2. , keep in mind that threads of different colors do not stick to each other and each other. All the women feel very happy and proud to be associated with this work. At the same time, we also get good income from it.”

Kiran Devi is also engaged in the preparation of the tricolor like Savita, she said: “The tricolor will be hoisted in every house to increase the honor of the country. This tricolor will be ready in our hands, which will be the big problem. Even in Corona times, we had contributed to the service of the country by making masks, but in this task of preparing the national flag, we feel a different happiness.”

Before finalizing the tricolor, there are several work steps such as cutting it to the right size by machine following the sewing guide line, followed by sewing by the women. After stitching, it is checked for error, after which its wrapping is done by making Ashok Chakra by screen printing in the last step. All this work is done only by women.

Along with the making of the tricolor, the women in the group will also educate people from house to house about the countryside.

Under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, flags made in all TPCs will be sent to all houses including all Sakhi Mandals through cluster-level organization. These women of Sakhi Mandal will not only construct the national flag but also go to people’s homes on the 75th anniversary of independence and inform them about the importance and dignity of the national flag through posters, banners , videos, etc. these women, the flag code was explained in detail.
