DODA, August 22: Aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 on promoting quality education, two dedicated ambassadors from the United Arab Emirates have embarked on a mission to promote “EducateNow”, a campaign youth empowerment across the city, here today.
Sameera Fernandes, Global Educator and Nirbhaya Award Winner, General Affairs Manager, Century Financial and Rashika Rathore, Energizing Youth and 11th grader from Dubai are on a mission to raise awareness of skills development and the development of career aspirations, which is the need of the hour.
Students from upper secondary schools including Doda, Ghat, Jodhpur, Jatheli, Shadiwal, Parshula and Mohala were part of the campaign.
Sameera Fernandes said, “The EducateNow initiative focuses on three main areas including career enhancement opportunities, links with global industry institutes, internship facilitation and differential placements. “We are here to connect small towns with global education hubs to ensure quality education prevails and society is elevated on all fronts,” Feranades said.
Rashika Rathore said, “I am here to share the opportunities I have with people in my city. The Doda community is close to my heart and I believe that by spreading goodwill towards the cause of education, we can begin by empowering our own community as a first step.
The initiative also aims to connect universities in the UAE and the GCC region to the Doda student community. Right from the offer of mentorship, online webinars, access to e-libraries, visiting professors, research collaborations, exchange and twinning programs and scholarships are some of the offers planned under of the EducateNow initiative.
This program is under the umbrella of Century Financial UAE and Divine India, they said.
