Ejuke guides Hertha Berlin to the first point of the campaign

Super Eagles midfielder Chidera Ejuke took part in Hertha Berlin’s league game against Europa League holders Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The winger secured a starting spot, he played an important role as the team earned a hard-fought draw.

Ejuke, who signed for the club on loan from CSKA Moscow, played a crucial role in Hertha Berlin’s dangerous attack.

Ejuke was, however, replaced in the second half by German star Derry Lionel Scherhant.

It was his second game for the club but he has yet to register a goal or an assist.

German winger Suat Serdar gave Berlin the perfect start when he found the back of the net inside the first three minutes.

The visitors fought their way back into the game, however, with Japan international Daichi Kamada equalising.

All efforts of both teams to grab the winner proved futile as they split the point.

The result means both teams are winless after two games. Hertha Berlin are 14th on the log with one point while Frankfurt are just behind them on equal points.
