Emmanuel and Tambuwal lead PDP presidential campaign – The Sun Nigeria

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and his Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal to lead its 2023 presidential campaign.

The PDP, in a statement by its National Organizing Secretary (NOS), Umar Bature, on Thursday night, said that Emmanuel and Tambuwal will see as Chairman and CEO of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

According to the statement, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed will serve as Vice President (North), while Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde will serve as Vice President South. .

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike along with other PDP Governors will be members of the Presidential Campaign Council.

The opposition party has also appointed former Cross Rivers state governor Liyel Imoke as deputy chief operating officer; former National Party Secretary Prof. Adewale Oladipu as Deputy Director of Administration; Grand Chief Rymond Dokpesi as deputy technical and systems director, while Ekwesilieze Nwodo is appointed deputy director of research and strategy for the national campaign management committee.

Other members of the campaign council include former vice president Namadi Sambo, former Senate presidents Anyim Pius Anyim, David Mark and Bukola Saraki, as well as members of the National Assembly, former governors and former ministers.
