The Belleville General Hospital Foundation received a fundraising boost Tuesday from Hastings County.
At a county finance, property and personnel committee meeting, the county presented $500,000 to the campaign to purchase a special medical camera.
BGH Foundation Secretary and Director Steve Cook said: “I think this year alone Quinte Health Care Foundation has provided $6 million in replacement equipment. Many of you also know that our capital-intensive project is ongoing right now, the expansion is underway. “
“With these donations, these amounts that we have now approved bring us ever closer to our goal of $9 million… Hoping to get to see these cameras soon and have them operational within the next 12 months, of course. Gift much appreciated. »
Cook added: “It’s been a tough two years. Everyone knows, when it comes to the hospital, everyone does an exceptional job behind the scenes to take care of the community as a whole. This also extends to Foundation and equipment needs.
Director Rick Phillips said, On behalf of Hastings County Council, I would like to thank the Belleville General Hospital Foundation for their dedication to helping residents of our communities.
“By ensuring that the hospital can provide exceptional care close to home at all times. In Hastings County, we are committed to supporting people in our communities and the Belleville General Hospital Foundation certainly aligns with these values.
