To celebrate Scottish Bus Week this week, West Coast Motors has set its wheels in motion to join the national #lovemybus campaign, which runs from May 23-29.

#lovemybus promotes sustainable travel and highlights how buses can be a solution to the challenges we face – improving our health, reducing pressure on the NHS, tackling inequality and climate change, creating green jobs and boosting our economy.

Welcoming Glasgow Citybus and its parent company West Coast Motors as partners last Wednesday, Jess Pepper of #lovemybus said: “It’s fantastic to welcome West Coast Motors and Glasgow Citybus to the #lovemybus partnership.

“The West Coast Motors team’s creativity, experience and passionate commitment to providing vital bus services to people in rural, island and urban areas will make a valuable contribution to the #lovemybus program.

“We are delighted to be working with West Coast Motors to celebrate Scottish Bus Week, with visits to schools in their area with our youth programme, to talk about the benefits of bus travel and to hear from local children what they love about the bus.”

Sharon Morrison, Director of Communications at West Coast Motors, said: “We are delighted to join the #lovemybus campaign and hope that by working with Jess and the team we can raise awareness of the many health benefits, the lifestyle and environment of bus use in Glasgow and the West Coast.
