Cindy Wang leads the omnichannel media strategy team for Huawei’s consumer business, which under her leadership was crowned the electronics maker’s “Global Gold Supplier” in 2020. In this role, Wang is responsible for conducting research insights into different product categories to develop effective strategies and data-driven media solutions. His team is credited with increasing consumer awareness of Huawei’s smart displays, watches, PCs and tablets.

Wang was nominated for ROI Rewards for the “City Radar for Huawei” experience store project that she oversaw. Faced with a drop in footfall in physical stores due to the pandemic, it implemented a precise targeting solution to increase store visits, interest in products and sales in 16 stores, using the tool City Radar by Publicis Groupe.

Huawei isn’t the only major brand in China that Wang has worked with. Over the years, she has won new business from Didi, Mengniu, Tencent and JD. In 2021, his team also won BAIC Group’s Arcfox media strategy business, increasing Zenith’s new business revenue and expanding into the alternative fuel vehicle industry.

Wang is said to have sharp decision-making abilities. When an urgent request from a client for a media plan came as the team was looking forward to a weekend trip to the resort, they assembled a team of 20 people to complete the three-day task in 8 am, allowing everyone to arrive at the station. before dinner. To build a team that clients trust and maintain team stability, she works with team members to plan their career development goals and achieve work-life balance.

Wang also works closely with other teams, such as media buying, content marketing, and data technology, to gain mutual trust and support. It includes technical tool details and data expert standards. Its multi-screen delivery and optimization model for Mengniu won the Media 360 Gold Award.

Wang is a longtime Zenith executive, joining Optimedia (relaunched as part of the new Zenith in 2016) as head of planning in 2003. She was promoted to deputy general manager of Zenith China in 2020.
